Birgit Götz works as a choreographer and dancer for stage and space. Interdisciplinary dance is the focus of her artistic work. She works with professional artists and dancers, has engagements as a choreographer, dancer and project manager for dance projects and dance festivals beyond the city limits. She is active nationwide as a choreographer for commercial companies in the context of training and study programs. As a lecturer, she is part of the theater pedagogical training at the various theater pedagogical centers and has teaching assignments at the FH Dortmund. She is a dance mediator for interdisciplinary dance at schools and dance schools. She also works for the network of independent performing arts in Dortmund and is a member of the advisory board for cultural education of the city of Dortmund. Birgit Götz is a board member of the LAG Tanz NRW.
Birgit Götz arbeitet als Choreografin und Tänzerin für Bühne und Raum. Der spartenübergreifende Tanz ist der Schwerpunkt ihres künstlerischen Wirkens. Sie arbeitet mit professionellen Künstler*innen und Tänzer*innen, hat Engagements als Choreografin, Tänzerin und Projektleiterin für Tanzprojekte und Tanzfestivals über die Stadtgrenzen hinaus. Sie ist bundesweit als Choreografin für Wirtschaftsunternehmen im Rahmen von Ausbildungen und Studiengängen tätig. Als Dozentin ist sie im Rahmen der theaterpädagogischen Ausbildung an den verschiedenen theaterpädagogischen Zentrem und hat Lehraufträge an der FH Dortmund. Sie ist Tanzvermittlerin für spartenübergreifenden Tanz an Schulen und Tanzschulen. Darüber hinaus ist sie für das Netzwerk der freien darstellenden Künste in Dortmund tätig und Mitglied des Beirats für kulturelle Bildung der Stadt Dortmund. Birgit Götz ist Vorstandsmitglied bei der LAG Tanz NRW.
