Nilüfer Kemper was born in Turkey, grew up in the Ruhr area and lives in Dortmund. From 1985 to 1993 she was a freelance actress and performance artist in various constellations. Since 1993 she has been working as a cultural manager, producer and consultant in the independent performing arts and has realized or developed numerous stage productions, festivals and cultural projects. Among others, she was production manager of artscenico (Rolf Dennemann) 1991-1999, managing director of Theater im Depot Dortmund 1999-2006, project manager of ID factory at TU Dortmund University 2009-2012, managing director of the NRW theater festival FAVORITEN 2012-2019, managing director of the Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft Tanz NRW 2012-2021. In 2013, together with Birgit Götz and other artists, she founded vier.D. She is co-founder and spokesperson of the Dortmund dance and theater network .dott as well as a board member of the NRW State Office for the Performing Arts.
Nilüfer Kemper ist in der Türkei geboren, im Ruhrgebiet aufgewachsen und lebt in Dortmund. 1985 bis 1993 war sie freischaffende Schauspielerin und Performance-künstlerin in verschiedenen Konstellationen. Seit 1993 ist sie als Kulturmanagerin, Produzentin und Beraterin in den Freien Darstellenden Künsten tätig und hat zahlreiche Bühnenproduktionen, Festivals und Kulturprojekte realisiert bzw. entwickelt. Sie war u.a. 1991-1999 Produktionsleiterin von artscenico (Rolf Dennemann), 1999-2006 Geschäftsführerin des Theater im Depot Dortmund, 2009-2012 Projektmanagerin der ID factory an der TU Dortmund, 2012-2019 Geschäftsführerin des NRW Theaterfestivals FAVORITEN, 2012-2021 Geschäftsführerin der Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft Tanz NRW. 2013 gründete sie gemeinsam mit Birgit Götz und weiteren Künstler*innen vier.D. Sie ist Mitgründerin und Sprecherin von dem Dortmunder Tanz- und Theaternetzwerk .dott sowie Vorständin des NRW Landesbüros Freie Darstellende Künste.
